Vesper: Mindful Drinking

1. Information we collect and why

Vesper does not require an account, and we do not collect any personal information about you. Everything the app stores — your drink log, goals, reminders, and settings — stays on your device and is never sent to us.

2. Purchases and subscriptions

Vesper offers optional subscriptions and a lifetime purchase to unlock premium features. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple Account — we never see or store your payment details. To restore or manage a purchase, Vesper checks your purchase status directly with Apple. Billing is handled entirely by Apple and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

3. Apple Health

Vesper works fully without Apple Health, but you can opt in. If you do, the drinks you log are saved to Apple Health as alcoholic-beverage records that you own — delete a drink in Vesper and the record is removed too. With Vesper Pro you can also grant read access to your sleep and resting heart rate; Vesper reads only those two types, only with your permission, purely to show how a heavier night relates to the next morning. All Health data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can review or revoke this access at any time in the Health app.

4. How we share the information we collect

We do not collect personal information, so there is nothing for us to share, sell, or rent. Your drinking and Health data never leaves your device.

5. How you can access and control the information we collect

Your data lives on your device, so deleting the app removes it. Any data shared with Apple Health can be managed or removed in the Health app. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple Account settings. For any other requests, please contact us.

6. Changes to our Privacy Statement

As our service grows, so will our Privacy Policy. We will post changes to our Privacy Policy on this page. Your use of the Services following these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy. Please check this page regularly to keep up-to-date.
